At the General Assembly of the governor and Company of the state of Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations : begun and holden, in consequence of warrants issued by His Honor the governor, at East-Greenwich, within and for the state aforesaid, on Thursday the twenty-first day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy-six. : Be it enacted ... that one regiment be forthwith raised from the militia of this state ... to continue in the service of this state three months from the time of their inlistment.
